Today my daughter took me to the book festival downtown, here in Savannah. We got to hear a favorite author of mine speak about her life and how she became a writer of murder mysteries.   Her name was Judy Ann but a publisher said women don’t write murder mysteries and got her to change her name to J. A. Jance.   I bought an autographed copy of a book in her new Alison Reynolds series.
