Philosophy, religion and science have been trying to learn, understand and teach us about God’s being and creation for over two millennium. However, I believe the complexity of God’s spirit in the infinite and infinitesimal is so far beyond our ken that we may never fully understand it all.
We’re told that quantum theory may point to a string theory, which may explain all matter. (And antimatter?) We’re told that our un-numbered galaxies of un-numbered suns (stars) appear in strings. Time and space are relative and there’s trace evidence of a Big Bang. Science announces it has discovered the “Soul”.
Although all humankind appears to have consciousness and the spirit of God within us, we seem to differ, sometimes violently, about our purpose here on planet Earth. Is each of us an angel, a spirit of God, here temporarily-to do what?
We’re given free will. We make choices. Sometimes we’ve decided that we understand God correctly; that we’re God’s favorite and all others are unworthy and will not reach “Heaven”. They must convert to our beliefs or die.
I believe God wants us to build our “Heaven” in the “Here and Now”. Our advanced civilization can become our “Heaven” when extended to all humankind.
Hopefully, the coming generations of the twenty-first century are destined to spread our abundance even beyond the solar system and our galaxy.
